These 3 pieces are based on the 'Last Look' page at the very back of Vogue magazine. This page describes a luxury item such as a handbag or a pair of shoes. These items are often made from an exotic skin such as lizard or crocodile. Sometimes fur is used as an accent and the prices are always ridiculous. My collages are inspired by this 'excess' of fashion and the unnecessary use of furs, skins, bones and feathers - from birds used in hats and foxes worn around a neck in Victorian dress to wool and whalebone corsetry. As much as fashion can be so beautiful, it can be cruel too.
